New Minor in Arab Studies Debuts at UH

The University of Houston (UH) has launched a new minor in Arab Studies and named Emran El-Badawi as the first director of the Arab Studies Program. Beginning in fall 2012, UH students may declare the minor, which will be housed in the department of Modern and Classical Languages (MCL) within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS).

Each spring, world leaders, the brightest minds in business and some of the most philanthropic people on Earth join students and national youth organizations at the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) to address the word's most pressing problems. UH Among Top 100 Colleges Conferring Degrees on Hispanic Students

The University of Houston is among the Top 100 Colleges conferring degrees on Hispanic students, according to The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine. The annual list ranks UH among the nation’s top 20 colleges and universities conferring bachelor degrees and doctoral degrees to Hispanic students.
